Mid-week Fashion Inspiration: Cutout Shoulder Top

By  |

To be honest, this is one style that we’d really like to try out but have yet to because we have yet to find the perfect one that we like (we’re picky like that). And since we were on the lookout to hunt down that perfect piece, we thought we’d share some styling ideas with you and also our top preferences from the web:

For styling, we’ve selected a grey ribbed piece from Miss Selfridge, a basic colour that is easy to style with and can bring us from day to night. For a sunny day out, pair it with your favourite pair of shorts, simple touch of makeup, comfortable walking shoes and don’t forget sunscreen!

This top also works well with a pencil skirt, heels and your favourite red lipstick for a date night without being too overdressed but still maintaining chic

On the other hand, if you’re feeling a little rebellious and want to pull a rocker edgy kinda chic, just pair it with your favourite distressed ripped denims and boots to match. Keep makeup to a minimum and accessories within the colour palette for maximum effect

Now, the burning question is where do we buy these tops? Here are our favourites from across the web:

Fabspy‘s Mikaela top featured a sleek cut and finishing it with a peplum. It’s black, a classic colour and most of all because of the beautiful cut that it comes in, we can definitely pull this top together for a formal event anytime

Something Borrowed‘s Cold shoulder jersey top offers something more lightweight and breezy for those who prefer something more casual and we also love that it comes in white – another basic colour we love for the versatility of styling

And this one here is probably the closest find we have to our style inspirations from Modelle II. Black and white stripes, figure hugging and a little dressy addition to add to our daily look. We love this one the best, what about you?
