Christian Dior Couture Fall 2014
Leave it to Raf Simons to redefine the grandeur of haute couture for the modern day lady. As much as we were fascinated with the collections, we have to give mention to the beautiful set where the event took place that was adorned with mirrors and orchids to complete the ambience
The show was divided into eight distinct categories that showcased Simons’ talent in reinterpreting past centuries defining fashion statements into modern chic. Our favourites include the eighteenth-century influences on the party dresses with tiny waists; long Edwardian coats and furs that sweep to the ground and techno jumpsuits with flower embroidery and zippers. Here are our top picks, see for yourself:
We loves that Simons used plenty of soft textures that allow these pieces to be showcased not only during special occasions, but to be styled into your daily outfits and can’t wait to see what he has in store for the next show
A geeky minimalist who has a passion for fashion, food, traveling, social media and all things creative
