Chanel Cruise 2015

By  |

Karl Lagerfeld presented Chanel’s Cruise 2015 in Dubai, the gorgeous city of man-made marvels and sensations. “This is my idea of a romantic, modern Orient, a new One Thousand and One Nights.” said Lagerfeld.

The collection was Arabian-inspired with arabesque prints, caftan-inspired shapes, ruffle embellishments, gold accents, bolero jackets, florals, harem pants, Aladdin’s slippers, and not to forget the Chanel’s identities like tweed and quilt on the petrol can bags.

The clusters of beading, three-dimensional geometries, decaying tweeds and patchworks were also highlights of the show. An unusual combination to create beautiful designs fit for a princess

Dresses over pants, the most unexpected of combinations yet to come on the runway of Chanel Cruise 2015. And for those of you who still believe this pairing is rather questionable because of its oddity and strange appeal, the Chanel show proved it all. Get rid of your prejudices and don’t say NO to this trend, not just yet.
