A couture collection unlike any other, Chanel Fall 2014 collection revisited the iconic tweed but with a twist: paired with shorts and it didn’t stop there. Coatdresses, jackets and skirts were paired with shorts and to complete the look were comfortable yet chic sandals that models were comfortable in while walking the runway

Compared to the extravagant Chanel shows in the past, this collection was toned down to a Brutalist/Baroque pairing to mimic¬†the visionary architect Le Corbusier’s long-gone Paris apartment that resulted in a beautiful time travelling reference fitted with contemporary geometry¬†

The show closed with, in Lagerfeld’s own words, “She look so elegant, so noble” 7-month pregnant model, Ashleigh Good to round up a series of lavish white gowns that echoed the life of Coco Chanel
