Where’s my parcel?!

Have you ever paid for an item and the parcel went missing?
Have you ever sent out goodies to your customers, only to have them never reached your customers?
Why are the people who assured us that delivery is safe and will reach in destination in time often loses our goods, if not end up damaged or delayed?
Have you ever encountered such a situation? If you have, do share on how the post office management dealt with this issue. Share your story as a customer and also as a e-shop owner!

It was months ago when I purchased a pair of leggings from The Kooky Thing – http://www.thekookything.blogspot.com, but after weeks of awaiting the parcel to arrive, I thought probably the blogshop owner forgot to post my item.
I sent her an email to which she replied that the parcel has long been sent out. I tried tracking the parcel via Pos Tracking online thingy but to no avail. I called the post office, but there were no such parcels.
I reported this back to the blogshop owner of whom later affirmed that she did send out the parcel but has no idea why it hadn’t reached me. She then told me, not in the exact words, that if I really wanted one, I’ll have to pay for half of the original price to get another pair. It hit me that maybe she wanted to earn more that she did not post out my leggings, but then again, it was unfair to make judgments based on my own assumptions. I told her that I’d get back to her again.
A couple of days later, she emailed me saying that she’ll replace me with another pair of leggings for FOC. Wow, now this is awesome customer service. But guess what? The parcel did not reach me again. I’m an avid e-shopper and this has NEVER occurred to me before. Two missing parcels from the same blogshop? Sounds fishy no?
I tracked the parcel down and went to the post office several times too because I wasn’t satisfied. I was then told that someone else has already picked up that Pos Express parcel. And that they have no details of the recipient of that parcel. It might have been someone else’s parcel for all I know, and when I reported this back to the blogshop owner, all she could say was that she’s sorry and she would change to another post office.
Well, I’m not sure if she really did not post out both the leggings, but I did not take any further actions because she was reluctant to help out with tracking down the parcel anyway. All I could do was to vow that I will never shop with them again.
So yeap, there goes my RM25. I can only take it as a small price for an experience.
well.. for me it happens a few times already where buyer inform me that they have not receive their parcel after 5 days I send out their parcel via Pos Laju.
but when I check the tracking ID, is stated item delivered…can be very frustrating sometimes wondering where did it go..when I ask them, they will just tell me that they cant do anything about it..
a few times I even saw them throw the parcel in the basket…I think they could have gently put it inside ya..
but Pos Malaysia is the only affordable courier service that is available at the moment..
Just have to pray real hard each time when sending out a parcel.
I think i’ve lost my parcel, like, a year ago. I bought 4 clothes from Dainty Dresser and all of them cost me RM200. I was excited for the parcel
At the same time, I bought with DressingLab too. Both parcels arrived on the same day. But there was none to pick it up, so I was left a note saying that I should collect the parcel at Glenmarie Poslaju. So after a week I went there to pick up my parcel. I got the DressingLab parcel, but not the Dainty Dresser’s one. I was really afraid, coz that parcel cost me rm200! ;p the Malay receptionist didnt even apologize, she just said, my parcel is gone, and wait for the call from them.
but i waited like a couple of weeks and still no news. I told DaintyDresser about it. She was suprised and really helped me a lot throughout the process. She called the Poslaju people, and handed the compensation letter written by me to the post office where she posted my parcel. But Poslaju management was suck, one tell her to handed the letter to Shah Alam(which is my place) and then the person at Shah Alam said I need to hand it to Glenmarie PosLaju!
I think about a month later, I got the compensation, which is only RM106! But they said they will compensate in full. I was too lazy to enquire, so I just let it be. But DaintyDresser was kind enough and personally compensate me RM50!
From that mo, I was kinda afraid to opt for postage, I now COD instead
And Dainty Dresser is still the most favourite blogshop to me, even though sometimes the clothes are a lil bit expensive :p
but I still love DaintyDresser!
Hi ASD,
As a seller, Poslaju will definitely be my first choice. So far, i have been mailing most of my parcel via Poslaju. And they provide me very excellent and efficient service*Grateful*.Whenever, buyer text me regarding their parcel which not reach them after 2 days, i will call the Poslaju Hotline and check what’s happening. Each time they will give me a satisfied reason and answer me politely.
The only problem that i encountered is Pos express.
Case 1: (Parcel been sent to the wrong address). The third party called me up and said that my parcel is at her place.Luckily she is staying near to my buyer’s home, so my buyer drove to the third party house and picked up the item.:)
Case 2: (Parcel missing). Buyer told me that she did not receive her item after 1 or 2 weeks. Both of us,checked from the website and it stated ‘final delivery’. But my buyer did not received anything.Luckily after few days, the post officer called her up and said that her parcel has been returned to the post office (i believe there must be the Third Party returned it to the post office). So finally she got her item after 2 or 3 weeks.
That is the reason why we always suggest our buyer to choose Poslaju only instead of others.:)
Have a nice weekend
Regards
AMS
Hi ASD,
I recently had an experience with Pos Malaysia which left me speechless. I waited patiently for a week for the Pos Ekspres envelope to arrive, taking into account that I live in Borneo and the seller was in KL. Later when the seller inquired with Pos Malaysia on the status of the missing item, they claimed to have never received it.
I finally received the parcel two weeks later and what disgusted me the most is that the postal workers tampered with the pos ekspres envelope so it would seem like the seller only sent it out a day before! I wrote about it on my blog (with pictures of what they did) : http://psych0ticbunny.blogspot.com/2009/08/dijamin-sampai-esok-my-arse.html
Unbelievable, right?!

Well
Im an online shopper and at the same time seller too, so i use a lot of post services .
All the time there just some minor problems like late deliveries after some calls to the post office.
However , recently I bought something from parsealed the pos ekspress arrived my house (I was home , cant imagine what happen if im not) The envelope is in a plastic bag . Felt weird as it is never like this before and then i realised the pos ekspress envelope is already opened and the plastic bag used to wrap the dress is also ripped open . BUT thank god the dress is still inside . So im considering myself lucky that it din jut *poof* in thin air.
And as for pos laju , I think they are fairly alright but to my horror i send out things to my buyer and told me after receiving that the buckle of both the dress she bought is broken. So now it cannot be worn as a spag strap but tube. I dunno what pos laju did to the parcel that my dress is spoiled. Hope nex time they will be a bit more gentle in handling the parcels .
We’ve experienced this once before.
It was weird though.
The story goes like this:
One of our buyer bought something from us *don’t remember what she bought cause it was a very very long time ago*
She told us post to her home via Pos Ekspress though we told her it’s much safer to use poslaju.
Few days later, she made another order, this time via Poslaju.
When she received her 2nd parcel, she emailed asking if we’ve sent out the first one. We told her we did and gave her again her tracking number.
When we tracked her parcel in the post office, they told us the parcel is under delivering process. When asked why was it taking so long, they said they were having some delivery problems.
After weeks of waiting, the girl has yet to receive her parcel. So we went back to the post office asking where the parcel is. The counter guy called the hq and pass us the message that the parcel has arrived at the stated address and it was signed by one of the girl’s family member. Apparently, it was an Indonesian passport number *the part where you have to write your ic* So we asked the girl if her maid or someone in her house received it.
She said it’s impossible as her maid has no house keys.
Now, this make us wonder.
Where is the parcel?
Did people in PosMalaysia took it and claimed it was signed and delivered?
Did the maid keep the parcel to herself?
Well, let’s just say Pos Malaysia sucks and immoral. They always delay, lost or open people’s parcels. A lawyer sent my father some documents with their own registered envelope, everyone saw it would know it is private and important. But to our horror, when we saw the mail, it was totally widely torn open. And it doesnt look accidentally at all.
Referring to first comment by Miss TLF,
I also purchased a bag from The Kooky Thing via Pos Laju. After 3 days of not receiving the bag, I made numerous emails and smses to the seller, telling about my parcel that never arrived. She gave me the pos laju website and hotline number. On the website, it stated that there was no one at home when the parcel arrived, which I thought odd, because my housemates were in the house 24/7. I called the hotline so many times…used up my RM50 credit because no one was picking up. Finally, the seller told me she missed out one line of my address (incorrect address) and apologized. She also send me a new one FOC.
The funny thing is, my Mom managed to get hold of pos laju to re-send my first parcel and then there was a second parcel from The Kooky Thing. But they were two different bags! The second time around, the seller send me the wrong bag and then I had to re-send it back to her.
Although I very much appreciated The Kooky Thing’s honesty and apology, I was still very upset because I wasted so much time and money calling pos laju. All I am saying is that, I hope all sellers can double-checked the customer’s addresses to avoid any inconvenience.
I will continue to shop at The Kooky Thing, hopefully she will give me discount after all these trouble? Just saying. Lol.
Nowadays, every single item post out using Pos Express, will sure be tampered by the post office.
For the past 3 months, every single item I buy online and choose Pos Express, the envelopes always arrived torn at side and sealed back using the transparent plastic.
I was even more disgusted when the super thick Pos Express box RM6 type (for items up to 1kg) was also tampered with! They would use a knife to cut at the side coz the material of the box is the hard type.
Omg, I really cannot imagine how low and uncivilised these people are.
I believe these doings are not from the blog sellers coz I buy it all from my friends whom I’ve for donkey years.
For Pos Laju, I would suggest the sellers to use very good quality wrappers. Because I have a few occasions before where the seller wrapped up my things in a thin envelope, and when I received it, the envelope is so obviously torned.
I have problem with Nunfish boutique. I ordered something from her and said she will post it on Monday. then i asked whether she had posted it then she said she did not post on Monday but on Wednesday taking about 5-7 working days to arrive and offered no apology. & working days later still no parcel so i emailed her again and guess what? she said the parcel was returned to her because was uncollected! That is super impossible because i live in college and all parcel will be received by office that always there 24/7 .Off course i didnt believe her. I think she was lying because some other customers said she was in Vietnam doing some shopping for update and i believe she forgot to mail before she went there. I mean come on, how come a parcel that was from Thailand reach KL then sent back to Thai all within 7 working days? I mean didnt the post office keep it within certain period before sending it back? As for me, this is the last time i ever going to buy from her again.
Regarding the above comment , I think that buyers aswell as sellers have a responsibility to ensure that parcels are both safely delivered or collected from the post office if nobody is available to sign for the parcel at the time of delivery ( this seems to be when problems can arise). For a start 2 weeks had passed when the parcel was returned exactly as it should be as all parcels are returned after a period of 14 days if uncollected. As for the case above the parcel was sent twice at double the cost to myself and yet alana is still not happy. I sent numerous emails to her saying to check with her local post office as they will not deliver unless it is signed for at the address given by the person it is addressed to ! As for buying from me again , dont worry dear i wouldnt sell to you again anyway after the abusive and unconstructive emails i recieved from you and i would be surprised if other blogshop owners would either so at least that dilema has been taken of your hands. As a seller i believe myself to be 100% responsible to make sure that parcels are indeed delivered safely to customers that, everytime they order from you put trust into you doing exactly that but unfortunantely at times pos malaysia can be unreliable and problems can arise that are out of both parties control, I have had parcels go missing but i think only 2 out of 1000s sent and on every occasion i know that replacements have been sent at cost to myself but i take that as just one of those things when you are involved in a mail order business. As for alana i know that she has now got her parcel at second attempt of me posting to her although i havent heard from her to let me know or to at least recognise that postage was paid for twice but never mind like i say you cant always please everyone unfortunatley. xoxo
I just bought two tops from an online boutique and i didnt receive it until now. I’ve called the vendor and checked pos laju website, the website stated someone have received the parcel and ic no was also given. But me and my family do not know the recipient at all. The vendor told me that she has called up to post office but nobody revert to her for weeks. Anyhow, the vendor promised to bear half of the cost.
I’m curious what would post office do to settle this kind of case. Would they really try to contact the recipient and get back the parcel for us?
one thing i hate about postmen is they don’t check the address stated on the envelop or parcel properly before putting it in the mailbox thus parcels and letters are sent to the wrong address!
for example there was one time my parcel (pos ekspres) was sent to the wrong street address. My street address is 6/ 14 but they sent it to 6/4 instead!
Urgh!!
I bought an item from bintulu which cost me around rm500. It was delivered using pos express and it never reached me. I’ve been waiting for it and when i trace back the item using tracking number, it was stated that the final delivery were made. How come this is possible? Please help me.
